Dr. Jan Liles
Dr. Jan Liles loves to help people to hear better. “Hearing loss causes a breakdown in communication. I love helping a wife to hear her husband say how much he loves her, or an engineer to hear better in meetings. I love to help a dad hear his daughter tell him all about her day. Hearing aids are just a means to an end, but what a fantastic end: helping people connect with those they love!”
A lifelong native of the Yellowhammer State, Dr. Liles earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Montevallo and her master’s degree from the University of Alabama. From 1991 to 2001, she worked with two ENT medical practices and initiated one of the first newborn hearing screening programs in the state. In 2002, she was awarded a doctorate in audiology from the University of Florida. Dr. Liles and her long time best friend Dr. Sheehy founded Alabama Hearing Associates in January 2002.
Dr. Liles lives in Huntsville with her husband, Perry. They have two sons, Jay and Jonathan. Hobbies include reading, Zumba, and scrapbooking. Dr. Liles is involved in local and international missions through her church, and carries a special place in her heart for the villagers of Chuluc, Guatemala.
